A journey of resilience and purpose
Welcome to the story behind Dolphin Outsourcing!
This is more than just a business; it's a testament to the power of resilience, adaptability, and the determination to create a meaningful life despite life's challenges.
My journey is one of personal transformation, driven by the desire to support my family while overcoming obstacles that have shaped who I am today.
A TURNING POINT: CHALLENGES AND DISCOVERIES
2016
In 2016 I got injured, married and went through a mental breakdown. At my lowest point, I made the decision to keep pushing forward. Soon after, I discovered I was pregnant, giving me a renewed sense of purpose and a reason to keep fighting.
2018
By 2018, after returning from maternity leave with the Army Reserves, I was at a crossroads. Still healing from emotional trauma and without a job, I needed work that allowed me to support my young family while balancing my Reserve commitments and my husband’s service. Finding flexible employment that matched my skills proved impossible, but rather than seeing this as a setback, it became the catalyst for change. I set up on my own.
2019
Dolphin Outsourcing Ltd was born - a business built on the principles of flexibility and inclusivity.
ADAPTING TO CHANGE: EMBRACING NEW OPPORTUNITIES
2020
In 2020, despite my achievements, my mental and physical health were still suffering, leading to my medical discharge from the Army Reserves. While this was a major blow, it allowed me to fully dedicate my energy to growing my business.
Then the world changed as the COVID pandemic hit.
2024
Following years of working with business owners from a variety of backgrounds, I realised that whilst we share all of the positive work we do to support various causes, businesses (and more) that we could be doing so from a different perspective.
It was this year that I realised we simply must become a Social Enterprise.
A REFLECTION
Drawing on my military background and decades of experience in civilian roles, I’ve gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by businesses and entrepreneurs. Over the past five years, even through the pandemic, I’ve leveraged adaptability to help both my business and our clients succeed. My journey has deepened my understanding of the balancing act between personal and professional life.

STRUGGLES TO STRENGTH:
A commitment to mentorship
Living with disability and mental health challenges has become a source of strength. These experiences have fueled my passion for creating something meaningful and building a supportive, inclusive work environment. As a mentor, I use my story to help others transform their obstacles into opportunities, showing that resilience is the key to thriving through adversity.
